Classroom Reveal

I can't believe school is starting tomorrow! Today I met all of my amazing kids at Orientation. I can't help but smile at all the new faces. I am so excited for this school year and have a GREAT feeling about this class. Check out our classroom!

This is where our student of the week's poster will be displayed. I can't wait to share what they get to do each day. They will LOVE it! 

Small group area. The turquoise dots will be awesome for the kids to show their thinking because they are dry erase :)

Reading area with tons of good books.

Math time!

The student's favorite part: Daily 5. New vocabulary will be added below in the area called "Words that Impress." We will also list our reading strategies on our CAFE menu. 

LOVE this new area I created. Students will be able to show what they learned and allows me to check in for understanding. 

Our schedule and lunch choices for the day. Students always like to know the plan for the day. 

Writing area

Be a Bucket Filler! Students will compliment other students to create a positive classroom community. They can leave notes and "warm fuzzies" in their pocket. 

Daily 5 Word Work hands-on activities to help reinforce spelling and vocabulary. 

Boggle Board...I love word games!

Math it Up. A twist on Boggle.

Back cabinets will show math vocabulary, math stations, and pictures of what we are doing in class. 

Table rewards. Table groups can earn sticks for following class rules. The table with the most sticks at the end of the week earns a prize like shoes off for the day.
